Hi, I am Ivar. I am working as a research assistant in the group. I am fascinated by the versatility of nature, and I am eager to find new ways to apply this in engineered organisms.
Research
I am involved in addressing the group’s need for easy-to-assemble genetic circuits and combinatorial pathways. Here, I take part in expanding the Golden Gate cloning toolkit, that allows rapid combinatorial pathway and circuit assembly, by cloning many new parts into the collection. Additionally, I am also involved in the DF2AP2 project with Dr. Nicolas Krink where we want to control the utilization of reducing power towards fueling NADPH-demanding biosynthesis pathways.
