Mariela owns a cute and affectionate white cat named
Barry White who is always eager to eat unhealthy amounts
of tuna. They have been together for more than 8 years
and Mariela carried (surprisingly peaceful) Barry in the
plane cabin when she moved to Denmark (>24 hours)
Mariela is a big fan of fitness. After long training
sessions on engineering Pseudomonas putida, she
rushes to the crossfit box to get the workout of the day
done. Which training routine requires more effort is
still a matter of debate.
Mariela enjoys cooking and is always willing to
delight the other SEMsters with her Argentinian
“empanadas” stuffed with beef (no wonder) and tons of
olives!
Mariela loves travelling: whenever she has the chance,
she packs her things up and heads to the next
destination.
