About Us

The Systems Environmental Microbiology (SEM) group exploits the unique metabolic and physiological characteristics of Pseudomonas putida and other environmental bacteria for metabolic engineering. Supported by cutting-edge synthetic biology approaches, our main goal is to push the boundaries of bacterial metabolism towards the sustainable bioproduction of novel, added-value chemicals.
